Here we go – my second day on the Master Cleanse Lemonade Diet. Hoping it will go smoothly today. I’m still feeling good about the program and will take it day by day, reporting my progress, struggles and solutions as I go.
Master Cleanse Day 2 Morning
I woke up this morning feeling pretty good. My headache was gone, thank goodness. I had more energy than I thought I would. I decided to use the tea laxative this morning since although my stomach feels fine now. I’m not entirely sure how the salt water would go over. The tea is nice, but still not the same as my morning coffee!
I enjoyed the protein source again – although I don’t love the taste, I look forward to it since it fills me up, and I feel more steady after taking it. The trick is to drink it very fast. My energy is good so far, not super high, but I don’t feel like I’m dragging.
Master Cleanse Day 2 Afternoon
I am finding it hard to drink all this liquid. By four o’clock I had only finished 30 ounces and 60 is the minimum. Plus I’m drinking water in between.
My belly is always so full of liquid; I’m not sure I can fit anymore. It really seems to go down better in the morning, so I’m going to need to make more of an effort to finish the first 30 ounces by lunchtime.
I am surprisingly not as hungry as I thought I would be. There is a dull ache in my stomach, but it’s not too bad. The only hard part is watching commercials. Pizza looks just incredible to me right now & that’s the only temptation I had so far where I thought – “Oh, man – would that be good!”
My advice to anyone who likes a little TV in the evening, then try to watch taped shows, so you can fast forward through the commercials. Better to avoid the mouth watering longing that goes along with watching other people enjoy their dinner.
I did have stomach cramps again in the late afternoon, but it passed in about an hour. I also enjoyed more of the herbal tea this afternoon. By evening, I was getting queasy again so went to bed early again.
Master Cleanse Day 2 Summary
- Energy & hunger are still better than expected
- Finding it hard to drink my body weight in liquid
- Need to drink lemonade earlier in the day to balance it out better
- Night seems to be the hardest for me where I feel a little sick
