Master Cleanse Day 4 Journal – Still Going Strong

Today is my fourth day on the master cleanse.  I made it over the 3 day hump and am still feeling good.  I’m looking forward to the next phase of the program since it should only get easier from here on out.

Master Cleanse Day 4 Morning

Getting on the scale the first time

I weighed myself this morning & lost 4 pounds! I am now 140.5 & should break into the 130s soon. I don’t like to weigh myself everyday when I am dieting since it’s a little depressing if you see no change or even an increase. I know our body weight fluctuates for many reasons – mostly due to retaining more or less water. I don’t want to get discouraged by checking the scale every day.

If you are tempted to hop on the scale every day, an easy fix is to drink a big glass of water first thing in the morning. It’s easy on this program, since we start every day with the salt water flush. You know after drinking all that water, there is a good chance that you will weigh more. So rather than risk getting discouraged you will wait another day for the weigh in. I’m not so disciplined to wait an entire week like some suggest – but compromise by weight myself every 3-4 days. Now – On to my Master Cleanse Journal Day 4…

I’m a little hungrier today & spending more time in the bathroom. I had some cramping this morning, it was really uncomfortable.  But that lasted just about an hour. I practiced some of the breathing exercises in the Master Cleanse Secrets Guide and that help me get through the bad times. Once I was able to relieve myself this passed. I am passing just a little solid matter; it’s become more liquid now.

Master Cleanse Day 4 Afternoon

This afternoon went relatively well. I continued alternating the Lemonade and water throughout the day. Drinking all this liquid has become easier today. I made sure I finished the first 30 ounces by noon which worked out much better.

Staying a little more active helped as well. If you can stay busy without over-exerting yourself I find the side effects are lessened. Or at least you won’t notice them as much since you’ll be distracted.

Master Cleanse Day 4 Summary

  • Lost 4 pounds so far.
  • Felt hungrier today, especially first thing in the morning
  • Experienced some cramping in the late morning
  • Pacing the lemonade and water in even doses through the day was helpful
  • Energy level is average; good enough for light activity without a problem
