Master Cleanse Day 5 – I’m Halfway to the Finish Line

Day 5 & I feel like I hit my stride – I’m feeling physically lighter this morning, like I am standing up straighter. I’m almost halfway there and from everything I’ve read it’s supposed to get easier from here on out. I’m still looking forward to the end, but feel I can easily keep this up for another 5 days, especially since I am feeling really good at the moment.

Master Cleanse Day 5 Morning

Drinking lemon concoctionI followed my normal routine of laxative tea, then alternating lemonade & water. I had some mild stomach cramping again – this is my body going through the cleansing process, so I just grin & bear it. It never lasts too long.

The lemonade is still good – I enjoy the flavor mostly. Although I did cut back a little bit on the maple syrup today, by about a third. It was a little too sweet & started to make me nauseous in the evenings. It goes down much better now.

I am actually really enjoying this program. It’s so simple, and that is something I can really appreciate. I find I have a lot more time for other activities since I’m not cooking or preparing meals.

Master Cleanse Day 5 Afternoon

Felt a little light headed this afternoon, so had another serving of the protein source. In the Master Cleanse Secrets PDF guide, she said you could have it twice a day. It really does help to steady me. I’ve been thinking about having one of the safe foods, but haven’t done it yet.

I read a little more of the Master Cleanse Secrets guide tonight. They have a section that talks about how to come off the Cleanse, so I wanted to get prepared. It will also give me something to look forward to. This is something I remember from being on the juice cleanse. You cannot shock your system with a normal diet the first day you stop the Cleanse or you may experience problems.

Some people who have overindulged in a heavy, fatty meal right after stopping a liquid diet will experience severe cramping & even bad constipation pains. Your body just isn’t ready to go from vacation directly back into full-time work mode. It is very similar to how you feel when getting back from a great vacation. It normally takes a few days to get back to a normal routine.

Moving from a liquid diet to regular eating is a gradual process. This is another reason I really like going on a program like the Master Cleanse. It forces you to eat carefully for at least the first week. For me, this is primarily out of fear, and that is just fine. Fear is a great motivator. This is the perfect time to re-establish healthy eating habits. And since you have gone so long without food – imagine what an orange would taste like right now. Even celery seems like such a treat. So I know this is the critical time when you will be able to make those big changes in your diet.

Master Cleanse Day 5 Summary

  • Still feeling fine on Day 5.
  • Mild stomach cramping in the late morning which has become normal
  • Cut back on the maple syrup a little in the lemonade to make it taste better
  • Fixed my light headed with another dose of protein
  • Slept really well – maybe since it was Friday and I’m off tomorrow 🙂

Another successful day following the advice in the Master Cleanse Secrets guide. I’m half-way to the finish line now. I can’t wait to start enjoying the full results from my Master Cleanse.  At this point I’ve only had a sneak peak, but I like the previews.
