Master Cleanse Day 8 and 9 – I’ve Hit the Home Stretch

Back to work today, so it should be easier for me to stay on schedule now. I have just 3 days left of my 10 day program.  I’m feeling good about finishing and meeting my goals. I have decided not to use any of the safe foods, I am still feeling good so will just ride out the rest of the program in the same way. Since I know the end is near, it makes it easier to stay strong. 7 days down & just 3 to go!

I had more cramping in my abdomen this afternoon & actually had a solid bowel movement. It was a surprise since I thought there was nothing left inside me, but I guess not. It may have been since I’ve been drinking the tea more instead of the salt laxative, so I’m not flushing my system as much.  Anyway now it’s out. I needed to use the bathroom a few more times after that, then the cramping subsided.

I decided to go without the protein today to see how I felt. By evening I was really hungry. I’m talking serious growling and hunger pangs. It made a big difference. Tomorrow I will go back to taking it again. I can’t imagine having gone through the process without it now – amazing how that one change could make such a difference. I drank some tea & had more lemonade to ease it the hunger pains, then felt better.

Master Cleanse Day 8 Summary

  • More cramping today
  • First solid bowel movement in 3 days
  • Skipped protein
  • Serious hunger pains by late evening

Master Cleanse Day 9!!!

I’ve made it to Day 9 on the Master cleanse and I’m still feeling strong. Today I modeled a little in the mirror and I can definitely see a difference. My profile is so much slimmer and that is really inspiring me to continue. I haven’t tried on any of my tight clothes yet, but will do it towards the end of the week probably over the weekend.  I know my belly is a little flatter right now since it’s totally empty, so want to try on my clothes once I’ve started eating again.

One of the ways I know I’m coming to the end is watching the lemons slowly disappear in the fridge. Since I know when all the lemons are gone I will have hit my goal. It’s an odd thing, but it makes me feel good every day as I watch them disappear. 40 lemons takes up a lot of room and now I’m down to 6. It’s a nice visual reminder that I’m getting closer to my goal.

I am still constantly amazed that I don’t feel weak or hungry all the time.  I thought this would be much harder than it is.  Sure, I have little grumblings in my belly, but honesty it’s not bad at all.  It’s a very doable program once you get past the first few days.

Day 9 Summary

  • Felt good most of today, worked outside in the afternoon. My energy is still strong
  • Can definitely see the results in the mirror – I’m much slimmer now
  • Got a surprising case of the hiccups today – haven’t had those in ages.

That’s it.  Day 8 and Day 9 are done, just one more day to go!
